Kittrell Cougars

The Cougar
By Miguel
The animal that I chose is the cougar. I picked it because it's my favorite animal. My animal weighs about 100 to 200 pounds. Its height is 23 to 28 inches at the shoulder.
It lives in California, New Mexico, Florida, Mexico, and Central America. It lives about 10 to 20 years. Their habitats are forests and mountains. Their life cycle is a cub to a cougar. Cougars have 1 to 5 cubs at a time.
Cougars eat deer and other smaller animals. Their food chain is a man hunts a cougar, a cougar eats a deer. Their enemies are humans, wolves, wild dogs, bigger cats, and eagles. Cougars move by foot, they can walk, or they can run. They are able to jump a very long distance. The highest record was 30 feet.
Here are some interesting facts about them: They don't roar because when they roar they sound like a woman screaming. They are known by more names than any other animal in the world. They are difficult to study and also difficult to find.
In conclusion, I feel that cougars are the most fierce animals in the wild.
